Bio
As one of many young Hrothgar ground under the boot of the Garlean occupation of Bozja, Nemestas was always jumping between jobs to make ends meet for him and his brothers. It was one of these jobs, working in the kitchens of Bozja Citadel, where he was first pushed by the hand of fate, as with a flash of light, everything... Everything was gone. For that was the day Bozja Citadel, and the entire capital city of Bozja, vanished with the fury of five millennia of stored solar power mistakenly wrought from the Red Moon, Dalamud. When he awoke, he stood at the epicenter of a smoking crater 200 malms wide. it would take him a day to stumble to the edge, white hot flashes of pain lancing through his mind as The Echo awoke within him, before dropping to the ground, comatose, yet alive. It would take another day for him to be discovered.A travelling Dalmascan Merchant by the Name of Migelo, one of the first non-Garleans to witness the destroyed city-state, would find the boy, take pity on him, and spirit him away. The Garleans would leave him for dead, the old Bangaa mused. But if he managed to make it out of such.. devastation, he had a hunch that the boy may have a greater destiny when he wakes. It would take a decade for him to do so.Locked within his own mind, he was barraged with constant flashes of memories. He could not move, he could not scream, he could not warn these poor lost souls of the doom that would befall them, no matter how hard he tried. All he could do was see the pillar of light lance out from the red moon of Dalamud. Hear their words and final thoughts.. Feel their Pain... think on their ends. He viewed the last moments of so many in the citadel and the City-state of Bozja, including the Garleans Involved in the cause of this.. calamity. The Meteor Project. He had always known the Garleans were a proud people with a lust for power, yet this.. He impotently seethed with anger, tried his best to thrash and writhe against the seemingly unbreakable bonds that surrounded the young man. He viewed the last moments of his family. His mother, wistfully looking at a drawing of a male hrothgar, His father. She would never tell him who he was, only saying he was from "Across the Salt", whatever that meant. His younger Half- Brother, from another Male, Barely taking his first steps when the light took him.Flashes. Visions. one after the other. unending. All ending in a flash of light and pain. And yet, he fought against it, refused to become numb to this. He knew there would be away out if he just... kept... fighting...Then, the memory changed. For a fleeting moment, he rejoiced, before he realised that what he beheld was not reality, nor a gentle dream, but another horror: The Red moon, Dalamud, looming so large in the sky. descending. The Fields of Carteneau, awash with Blood and fire as hundreds, if not thousands of people from the nations of Eorzea fights united against the invading Garlean VIIth Legion. The Fighting suddenly ceasing, all staring upwards as the moon split open , unleashing the imprisoned form of enormous dragon...Then another flash of light, followed by blissful oblivion. When he finally came to his senses, Nine years had passed. The Calamity of Bahamut had come and gone, and the Sixth Umbral Era had begun. He had been taken into the care of an Ul'dahn Chirurgeon who ran an inn in Thanalan named The Eternal Sleep, as for all others thought until that day, the hrothgar would never wake. When he did, he was, for a short period, the talk of Camp Drybone.
A soul, lost in the balance between Nald and Thal, finally returning to the world of the living. Well wishers, passing adventurers, all clamoring for a moment with a survivor of old Bozja.Having nearly wasted away, an emaciated Nemestas slowly regained his strength over a year, working for the Chirurgeon as an assistant, occasionally meeting adventurers who brought in souls who while thankfully saved, needed help to recover from the incidents which led them there.Once recovered in both mind and body, he set forth towards Ul'dah with thoughts of becoming an adventurer himself, with the hopes that he would be able to give back to the people who helped him so, with his earnings from the new profession.Soon, a fateful encounter on a chocobo carriage, followed by a chance encounter with a man by the name of Wymond while looking for the adventurer's guild, would set his life on a new path, and change the history of the entire star...
